Plants are the first ingredient
In every single one of our serums, balms, creams, and masks, you will only find plants as the first ingredient on our ingredients list. In fact, you won't find water on the ingredients list at all.
Water is the first ingredient
Other brands almost always have water as the first ingredient, diluting the actual nourishing ingredients, and making it harder for your skin to absorb them. Even if water does not appear first, it is almost always included on the list.
100% Plants
No chemicals, binders, stabilizers, or fillers (not even water).
Fillers Added
Chemicals and fillers are used frequently and in large amounts. For example, inexpensive ingredients such as water, aloe vera gel, glycerin are often used to make it look like you are getting more product. 
No Preservatives
Because we use no water as a filler in the formula, bacteria will not grow and therefore harsh harmful preservatives can be omitted. 
Chemical Preservatives Added
Harsh preservatives are needed to prevent mold and bacteria from thriving since water is included as a filler in the formula.
20-40 plants in each formula
Every single one of our serums, balms, creams, and masks have at least 20 different nourishing plants included in our plant-only formulas.
Only a few plants
Other brands usually include only a few active ingredients, and they are usually buried in the ingredients list near the bottom.
Vegan & Cruelty-Free
We don't use any animal-derived ingredients in any of our products. We never test on animals.
Animal Ingredients & Testing
Other brands often include animal derived ingredients such as collagen derived from bone or collagen. Many brands still test on animals.
Recyclable Biophotonic Glass
All our products are packaged inside deep violet recyclable biophotonic glass jars, which block harmful spectrums of light, while selectively allowing beneficial wavelengths inside. We also take care to use the absolute minimal amount of plastic in our packaging.
Wasteful Chemical-Filled Plastics
Many brands wastefully use lots of plastic, which in many cases is not recyclable. In some cases this plastic can leach harmful chemicals into the product.
USDA Certified Organic*
We have gone through the extensive process of becoming USDA Certified Organic, and most of our products hold this certification with few exceptions. USDA Organic products must be produced using farming practices that maintain and improve soil and water quality, minimize the use of synthetic materials, conserve biodiversity, and avoid genetic engineering, among other factors. Being certified organic means we receive an independent audit of our operations at least every year to confirm we are meeting the rigorous standards of the National Organic Program. 
Not Organic
Other brands haven't gone through the rigorous process of having their products certified organic. Or worse, some brands lie about their organic status. If you are uncertain about a company's organic status, you can check the USDA Organic Integrity Database here.
*All of our serums, balms, creams, and masks are certified organic, with the exception of Earthy Balm, which contains added (non-micronized) Zinc to protect the skin from the elements, making that product ineligible for organic certification, regardless of how many other organic ingredients we include. Be sure to check out the Earthy Balm ingredients panel for a full list of the ingredients. In addition, our two soaps, Songaa Soap and Shungite & Diamond Soap, are also ineligible for being certified as organic because organic certification is a food certification that has the same rules for cosmetics as it does for food. In other words, if it can't be included in organic food, then it can't be included in our organic skincare products. This includes the real soap we use in both these products as well as the real diamonds & shungite we include in our luxurious Shungite & Diamond Soap.

All the final formulas are stamped with a two-year expiration from the day of production. We recommend that you use all of the product within three months of opening and avoid getting water in the product.
